Farewell to Football Legend Trevor Francis: Aged 69

Former England striker Trevor Francis, the first British footballer to command a £1 million transfer fee, has passed away at the age of 69. He died at his residence near Marbella, Spain, due to a heart attack, as confirmed by the family’s spokesperson. Francis began his illustrious career at Birmingham City, amassing an impressive 119 goals in 280 league appearances before making history with his record-breaking move to Nottingham Forest in 1979. He leaves behind a remarkable legacy in the world of football, having won the European Cup twice with Forest and represented England 52 times, scoring 12 goals. Beyond his achievements on the field, Francis was known for his amiable personality, and his sudden departure has left his family and fans deeply saddened.
